We've outsourced our silliness to London: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/2065320/Airport-staff-stop-passenger-boarding-for-wearing-Transformers-T-shirt.html

Remember the movie we saw with the boys about the Transformers (the giant toys) who came to life to save the world from destruction by the bad giant toys? This is what this guy had on his shirt: a transformer - a good guy - holding a gun. A gun he used to save the world.

And he had to take off that shirt to board the plane because - you are going to love this - it might have disturbed the other passengers.

I did not make this up.

I am truly sorry you lost $500. That would make me kick myself pretty hard and also, maybe, rant a bit about the stupidity of most of the TSA rules. But mostly, I would be kicking myself. Bullets on a commercial plane in these times? You made a mistake. Unfortunately, a costly one but whether or not the rules are ridiculous, you knew about them. Like the $300 speeding fine for going 5 miles over the 35 MPH limit I got last year on a deserted street at 6 AM, I can't fault the officer. I goofed up.

Hal,

You are so funny. It is amazing that after your previous TSA rant (loved it), that you were not red flagged as a car carrying constitutionalist, detained and stripped of your passport.

You really should have left the bullets elsewhere however.

They are just training us to be subservient cows so they can lead us to the slaughter or the next holocaust without a squeal.

Wake up America! It was your country. You use to have rights.

I am amazed how eloquently you handled the delay, but what can you do? They have you until they release you. Once I was traveling to Miami from CR to visit family. I threw my hair cutting scissors in my make-up pack at the last minute not remember the new restrictions. I passed CR inspection just fine but when returning to CR, the Maimi inspectors caught it and yelled, "She's GOT SCISSORS" as if it were a bomb. They took my scissors and I was allowed to pass after they searched me in a separate room. It didn't cause a huge delay but since then, I don't care to fly anymore and haven't flown since. Teri
